Why is so much of this FREE or so inexpensive?
All of the opportunities mentioned on this Web site are offered by one of a few Christian non-profit organizations that work hard to provide them at low or no cost to students, and there is no expectation of receiving anything in return. So why do we do it? All the staff, volunteers, and even most of the financial donors of the organizations listed below have two important things in common:
- They have a genuine interest in, and curiosity about, cultures other than their own.
- More importantly, they all have experienced the unconditional love and forgiveness offered by Jesus Christ, the son of God. In fact, God has shown us such great love, we cannot keep it to ourselves! So His love compels us to care for others the same way He cares for us - unconditionally, expecting nothing in return. We don't even require you to agree with us! If you want to hear more about it, just ask one of us. We each have a story to tell, and we love telling it. However, we are careful never to pressure others about our beliefs.
